Worship With Us

On Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, Love Out Loud had its first-ever worship night! Lots of hard work and preparation went into our event and I’m so excited to recap it with you all. Let’s get started:

Once we confirmed the space, date, and set list, it was time to start rehearsals. We rehearsed 3 times: once with vocalists only and twice with our band. This was a time for us to find our sound and figure out how to blend with one another. Though worship is not about ourselves, it was important for us to know the songs. That means we pounded lyrics, melodies, and harmonies on repeat over these three weeks. We wanted to make sure we were on point as vocalists and a band so we could give God our very best on worship night!

Sunday, July 23rd came faster than I anticipated. We rehearsed one last time before doors opened at 5:30 p.m. Belle, Grace, and I were excited and nervous. Each of us had solos for the first time in a while, so that added an extra set of jitters. However, after seeing our fellow Love Out Loud leaders, greeting our friends, and praying with our band, we were ready to get on stage and worship our hearts out to Jesus.

We sang a total of six songs on Worship Night: The Blessing, Deep Dive, Battle Belongs, Why, Rest on Us, and I Speak Jesus. The Spirit was moving in the room and we as vocalists all felt it. To be honest, I blacked out during worship, because I genuinely was worshipping God from a place of gratitude, thanking Him for being able to put that night together.

In a lot of the pictures, you will see that our eyes were closed. It’s because we were in worship and awe of our Lord!

Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better first worship night for Love Out Loud. We had a great attendance and received good feedback that we’ll carry to the next worship night. You heard right!
